Daniel Yakel and Lawson roomed together for a summer in college and haven’t stopped laughing since. When we were asked to shoot their wedding this coming July we begged them (wink) to let us take them out for a fun engagement shoot at the beach…but FIRST we stopped over at a near by field to get warmed up. :)

Ryan & Brianna were such troopers in the rain last month! Laura & Lawson knew Brianna from California Baptist University and when Brianna called to set up an engagement shoot all she could think of was BLACK, WHITE, & RED–those were Brianna’s obsession. Its all she wore. And with that, we gave Brianna the task of finding the biggest red umbrella possible and dressing in black for their time in the rain! We LOVE how they turned out!

The Moore clan are huge cowboy fans and they sport their loyalty wherever they go. The obsession’s flame has been fanned by Austin Moore, loyal cowboy fan for 13 years and fanatic in all measures. He’s managed to make sure sister Alison declares her support…often. Cap and all.  – lkm

Clifford & Choua | Newport Beach, CA {Engagement}

Laura just finished editing the images from Clifford & Choua’s engagement session last weekend at Newport Beach! They are getting married at Faulkner Winery mid September this year and recently contacted us to cover photography for their wedding! We were excited to meet them last weekend, and while we made new friends, both Laura & Bekah came home with some AWESOME shots of the couple just enjoying themselves in Newport! Enjoy! Rob & Marissa {Engagement}

I (Laura) was SO excited when Rob & Marissa let me know that they had pegged the Field of Flowers from Carlsbad as the choice location for their engagement shoot! At first they were apprehensive about the overcast weather, but it turned out to be its own awesome soft-box of light throughout the late afternoon! We’re looking forward to their wedding late July 09.

Kim & Ian {Engagement}

From the moment we first met Kim & Ian, we’ve been dying to get to know them more. When they told us that they are getting married at the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park, it was all we could do to not get on our knees and beg them to let us capture their ceremony as we thought of the creative artistic opportunities such a unique location would afford. Fortunately for us, Kim & Ian are entrusting us with their wedding photography! This past Sunday, Laura & I (Emily) had the pleasure of meeting Kim & Ian for their engagement shoot at Griffith Park. Our time with them proved to us that they are just as vivacious & whimsical as we had expected…
